What must I do to participate in the Young Performer Awards?

You need to qualify to enter

  • All recipients of diploma awards in the National Eisteddfod in the National Eisteddfod activities of the previous year qualify automatically for all categories where diplomas were awarded.
  • Participants that received diploma or similar awards (90%+)  in other local eisteddfods / festivals in the previous year can also qualify. A certified copy confirming this award must be submitted to the NEA Office for approval.

Participants in the National Eisteddfod of 2023 have the following options available:

  • Participants may submit their entries ONLINE at a lower entry fee.
  • Participants also have the option to submit their entries in a Hard Copy format (a higher entry fee is charged for hard copy entries.)
  • (ALL reading and improvised items are excluded.

Participants in all other festivals / events must do the following to enter:

  • Any participant that received a diploma or similar award in any other festival or event during the previous year must submit a certified copy of a document confirming this award.
  • Entries can only be submitted on the ENTRY FORM (“hardcopy format”) at the applicable entry fee.
