Closing date for Video & Art Entries 2026

Changes, if any, to online closing dates will be announced on the National Eisteddfod Facebook page.

Entries for the National Eisteddfod of South Africa 2026 season open on 1 April 2026
Video & Art Entries: Closing, submission dates & fees

Entry fees are determined by the DATE of submission and whether the submission is online or in hard copy.
A higher fee is charged for entries submitted in hardcopy format and/or at a later stage.

Please note: Video & Art entries will be adjudicated in 3 sessions and should reach the NEA Office before 16:00 on ANY of the following dates (hand deliveries) or midnight (online submissions):

Session 1: 31 Jul 2026
Session 2: 31 Aug 2026
Session 3: 18 Sep 2026

Please note the following:
The entry fee for an individual and a group video entry is the same.
All reading and unprepared items are excluded from video submissions. These categories require the adjudicator’s input before the performance; therefore, they cannot be pre-recorded.
