Call for participation 2022

National Eisteddfod of South Africa 2022:
Call for entries 2022

As we are slowly returning back to a way of live that we took for granted in the past, the National Eisteddfod is also looking forward to a year of “normal” eisteddfod activities in 2022.

Over the past two years Covid-19 had a serious impact on all non-profit organizations, including the National Eisteddfod Academy. Irrespective of a significant loss of income in this period, the National Eisteddfod Academy managed to pull it through, however not without huge sacrifices by the NEA Staff and the loyal support of many participants and parents.

It is a reality that it will take quite some time to recover fully to where we were prior to the pandemic, however the National Eisteddfod Academy is excited to present the National Eisteddfod of South Africa 2022 as far and wide as possible by utilizing various modes of participation:

  • Live performances at available venues (in line with the required protocol)
  • Live performances (speech and drama only) on a virtual platform
  • Video recorded performances

For a brief overview of the the various genres and categories that the National Eisteddfod of South Africa provides for, read more HERE.
