Young Artist Awards Competition 2024

 

The 12th Young Artist AwardCompetition, (initially launched in 2013), is a competition for young visual artists that has received a diploma award during 2023 in the National Eisteddfod or a similar award in any other festival or event.

 

While the annual National Eisteddfod is not a competitive event, the Young Artist Awards provides a next level competition for the future Ester Mahlangu and Irma Sterns of our country.

National Eisteddfod of South Africa 2024

 

The annual National Eisteddfod of South Africa®     presents opportunities to young South African talent in all communities for participation and showcasing their talents in music, dance, theatre and fine arts.  The Eisteddfod of South Africa serves as a springboard to prepare learners for a career in the performing arts.  Although aspiring participants can already start with preparations, this platform will only open for new entries on 1 APRIL 2024.

The annual National Eisteddfod of South Africa® is presented in various regions during August – October.  Regional National Eisteddfod events consists of adjudicated sessions where any performers can participate in the following categories.

The new National Eisteddfod Prospectus for 2024 - 2025 will only be available towards the end of March 2024. Meanwhile the 2022 - 2023 version can still be used to learn more about the requirements of the various categories. This documents can be downloaded free of charge by any registered institution/individual.
